I know how everyone is crazy going around trying all the popular cafes now, and so did I. (even though they are all similar)
Have visited quite a number of cafes up to now and they have all sucked a load of money from me.
From the west to east to town to dates to fries to... just because I want to eat food that's already cooked nicely for me.
So for the past few weeks, whenever Nat and I had the time, we would go to some random cafe.
Did I mention how much I love this girl? Oh, and I do not own the photos of the shops. Those are gotten randomly online.
First up, was when we returned our graduation gowns and had wanted to go Oblong, but failed.
So we ended up at Smith's Authentic British Fish & Chips.
With fries in the context, we just decided to settle for a plate of large fries and talk about our lives.
A place that was near Orchard but we were pretty much secluded because it was raining and peak hour, we took an hour to get on a cab.
Nonetheless, we made it and I managed to catch Serea after making her wait for very long.
Second, Oblong.
This time, we managed to find our way to Oblong and not trusting stupid places on the map.
I didn't expect much because I've heard good and bad of the place, but the Red Velvet waffle was def not a disappointment!
Wasn't into eating much of it too because I can eat it all day everyday at my own work place.
Yes, I know that the flavours are totally different but seeing ice cream and waffles for 4 days a week is more than enough for me.
I might come back again for more though, and to really enjoy them waffles again. Yum!
Red Velvet Waffles x Earl Grey // Buttermilk Waffles x Strawberry Cheesecake
Third, Relish Gardens.
This was an impromptu thing where we just walked aimlessly and saw fries.
Knowing Nat and me, we are suckers for fries, like seriously.
We always said to meet after lunch so we wouldn't eat anything, but always end up at a shop and having fries.
So yes, here we are having a light snack before dinner.
We even popped up with other side dishes because we are gluttons for punishment.
Got a salad to make us feel better but neh!
Wings // Caesar Salad // Fries
Next up, Poteato.
So we decided to meet up this day dedicated to fries and nothing else.
A last minute plan to meet and it never fails to be a good time with this girl.
Here, we settled for 2 types of fries, the normal truffle, and one more of the potato skin.
They weren't too bad, and what I loved about this place is that the price you see on the menu is the price you pay for. No taxes.
Not to mention that their fries were really good too!
This time, Nat and I couldn't finish. It was as though we had another meal right after our lunch!
Nonetheless, good deal.
Potato Skin with dips // Truffle Fries

A little more about our post Poteato date...
Well, we visited Books Actually that was across the road and saw many interesting things there.
We visited 40 Hands, found that it was pretty packed, made our way to Flock Cafe where it was about to close.
With that, we decided to take a little walk, we went by PS Cafe, Orange Thimble, some pie shop (I forgot the name), and we continued walking...
We pretty much walked from Tiong Bahru to Outram, to Tanjong Pagar, to Chinatown.
Spent more than an hour and half, where we walked past more than 25 Cafes we never thought we could find.
It was crazy and our legs were so sore that we ended up at Tanjong Pagar and settled for Toms & Toms Coffee.
A good exercise it was after all that fries intake we had.
Exhaustion.
Best part, I even made her laugh for a good 10 minutes in the middle of the pathway where all those business people were looking.
Some giggled along with her and others just walked past. It was hilarious.
That day ended for me at Vivo where J, JM and M brought me there just to eat and slack LOL.
Goo'day.

Finally, Swee Choon and Tiramisu Hero, again.
Was a casual Thursday where my dear girls decided to meet for dinner.
Nat and I got out earlier to catch an impromptu movie where we had the whole theatre to ourselves.
We sang and we laughed along with the movie, Walking on Sunshine while we had our popcorns and nachos!
Settled for nachos because there weren't fries there.
Ended off the day with a nice dinner at Swee Choon where we ordered way too much.
We even had desserts after at Tiramisu Hero where we really are gluttons for punishment that night.
Oreo Flavored x Strawberry flavored
This pretty up sums up my last few weeks of cafe hopping and whatnot.
Been spending way too much money on food that it's really eating into my savings for uni.
On a side note, I am so glad that most of my things are settled for uni, even had my visa submitted.
All I have to do now is to settle a place to live at, pack my luggage, prepare my emotions to leave, and to hope that I am able to cope when I'm there.
Can't wait to fly there but yet am so afraid to face it as well.
Until then....
